BREAKING NEWS…Jeffrey Lieber and Jonathan Littman, executive producers of Miami Medical, have just confirmed, via Twitter and Facebook, that Miami Medical has not been renewed by CBS.
Jeffrey Lieber says: The process – soup to nuts – of working on Miami Medical was the best professional experience I’ve ever had. Sadly, it goes no further. So, what’s next…
Jonathan Littman says: Rainy day brings gloomy news with COLD CASE and MIAMI MEDICAL not being renewed. A great run on one and a way too short run on the other.
I have to agree with Mr Littman, a paltry 8 episodes is not really enough to judge a show by, but the powers that be have spoken and I for one am very disappointed.
However, Jeffrey is a talented guy and I’m sure he will go onto other projects that we will enjoy as much if not more than Miami Medical. The Jer Blog will be sure to update on those.
In the meantime, we wait to see what Jeremy Northam will be doing next…
And don’t forget, we still have one more episode of Miami Medical to come, so tune in this Friday for the finale.
We will hear in the next few days about the fate of the remaining 5 episodes already filmed which would have constituted part of season two.
Don’t forget to check out SueVo’s blog, The Exploding Egg. Sue’s got a post up about the cancellation too.
If anyone would like to provide feedback to CBS about their decision, please visit the CBS website, scroll to the foot of the page, and select feedback.
UPDATE: the 5 episodes already filmed, which were to be shown as part of season 2, will now be aired between June 4 and July 2.
